Kenya – HIV

The lack of social equity and the resulting difficulties in accessing education also represent a health risk for seven out of ten young people in Sub-Saharan Africa: this is the percentage of women who do not know what HIV is. A figure behind which lie stories like that of Rosemary, founder of Tuinuke Na Tuendele Mbele, a social tailoring project in Nairobi that aims to improve women's standard of living through education and the creation of income-generating activities, fighting the stigma that still surrounds HIV positivity and the tradition that limits women's emancipation.
